Of all the flowers, none calls so many opposite meanings as the rose; its records go from the ardor and the desire to the innocence and the friendship, frome the sensual use, the vitality and the appetite of being, to the mystical resignation, the balance of the perfection and the shining eternity.

Después,

hasta que al calor de una tarde
y, mientras las nubes se llenan de sol,
toda la jacaranda ...

es flor.

Every painting, is an act of love, every word written by Lucille is an act of faith, where interact shape and life, with the synthesis and the difficult facility of a modern visual and written Haiku; the always present east begins to show from its ancestral past and manages inside an impressive simplicity, the polysemy of multiple meanings: the poem leads to the painting and on having observed it, we return, curious to read the written thing and everything takes a new, different, much wider dimension, has managed to magnify the horizon of our sensations.

Lucille Wong is the first one and perhaps the only painter who has delivered to us a poetical and dazzling vision of the Coatlixóchitl. The intense and bloodied cycle by the glare of the solar deity, whence comes the flower of Christmas Eve, it does not deal with the documentary description, with the anecdotal history, but with the exploration of the forgotten and unpublished territories of the spirit …

Lost in the memory I have the blurred image of a visit to the Nevado de Toluca in my childhood. I remember nothing of the way, nor of my permanence for a few hours, I suppose, in the crater. However, what I hold is that precise moment to reach the edge of the crater and perceive a crucible.

What it retains and materializes Lucille Wong in its illuminations does not stagnate in the surface: it is a stratification and and vein, telluric record of the bites of the time, and full testimony of an adult pupil that has been transported from the dazzle to the lucidity.

Nobody can with a confused language illuminate opaque scenes or gloomy, cloudy places, belong already to the man or be already of the mythologies, past or present. And what is difficult opposite to the enigmatic and incomprehensible thing becomes arduous and rough opposite to the simple thing; as the pure happiness or the elementary ground. I believe that the clarity is the key of Lucille Wong.

... the plenitude of the equivocal or imperfect form and the victory of the woman when the reflection of the line transfigures into water, fire, wind, night enchantress, spring, zenith, harvest. This ambience, precariously described, is the real substance of the nude, the challenge that it throws to the look. Under the influence of the western traditions, the man, although not excluded, it occupies quantitatively a background. The explanation is simple, in the Robin Bond workshop never missed woman models. On the other hand, the male models were scarce.

In all the nudes there is clear the pretension to go thoroughly, to reach the deep foundations and the ambivalent interior, luminous or in darkness, of a forbidden enclosure, strange, away from us and that only the creative intuition is capable of revealing. By the uncertain environment which envelops it, by the occult resonances which awakes and by the fusion and mixture and opposition of sleep and wakefulness, innocence and perversion, resplendence and darknesses, taboos and desecrations, the territory of the bodies outdoors has always been a sacred area wrapped with the inaccessible aureole of the secret. However, this enclosure, rough and tender at the same time, it has its borders opened for the happiness or the pain; the desperation or the balance, the serenity or the anguish …

There are in his work a happy confluence of millennial oriental art with the modern Impressionism. Trasluce in its work that exquisite pictorial sensibility of the subtle oriente that has been able to capture the nature in all its punctual complexity...
